All adult patients should visit Stillwater Medical Group annually for an Adult Preventive Health Visit. It’s our goal to help you be proactive in maintaining your good health. In the past these visits have been called “Physicals,” “Annual Exams,” “Health Maintenance Exams” or “Well Checks.”
An Adult Preventive Health Visit includes a review of your medical history, medications, family history, risk factors for illness, health habits and social history. A comprehensive physical exam specific to your preventive health needs will also be conducted.
Your primary care physician will also make recommendations regarding appropriate screening for disease including lab studies and other diagnostic tests. Immunizations will be updated and your primary care physician will recommend diet, exercise and other healthy lifestyle modifications. Your Adult Preventive Health Visit also allows your primary care physician to identify other health issues to address at future visits along with any chronic medical conditions.
